Acro9 Series: Considering Accessibility
17th June, 2009 - Posted by MsD
The Acrobat 9 Download Series: Readers of my articles at acrobatusers.com who’d like to read offline at their leisure can now download a PDF in a print-ready format.
Accessibility and Accessible PDF Documents is the current topic of the month at Acrobatusers.com.
All federal government web content—including PDF files—has been accessible to persons with disabilities such as vision and mobility impairments for numerous years. Many organizations and businesses have followed suit. Acrobat 9 offers features for creating accessible content, and evaluating existing PDF content for accessibility.
Acrobat 9 includes a number of tools for evaluating the accessibility status of existing content, making content accessible and optimizing accessible PDF files.
Rather than describing the basic processes for applying or evaluating accessibility, I’ll look at other considerations and features involved in making accessible content, such as working with tags, tables and forms.

Hi,
The link “2009_06_accessibility_issues” has a target file that is of the file format *.indd – ought this not be the InDesign file’s output PDF?
Be well…
